Combine in bowl 1 c. soft butter, 3/4 c. brown sugar, beat till creamy. Add 1 egg yolk, 1/2 tsp. vanilla; beat well. Sift together 2 1/2 c. sifted flour, 1 tsp. salt, 1/8 tsp. baking soda and blend in. Press dough through desired disk of cookie press onto ungreased cookie sheet. Brush tops with egg whites, slightly beaten; decorate.

Bake 8-10 mins @ 375 degrees farenheit
