- Icing:
- 2 c. flour
- 1/4 c. sugar
- 1 tbsp. baking powder
- 1 tsp. salt
- 1 tsp. cinnamon
- 1/4 tsp. soda
- 1/3 c. shortening
- 1/2 c. raisins

Step 1
Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Combine first six ingredients. Cut in shortening until mixture forms coarse crumbs. Stir in raisins. Add buttermilk and stir until just moistened. Turn onto a lightly floured surface; knead 4 to 5 times. Roll to 1/2" thick and cut with 2 1/2" biscuit cutter. Place with sides barely touching on greased baking sheet. Bake 10 to 12 minutes. While still slightly warm spread with icing.
Icing:
Sift a little powdered sugar into a bowl and moisten with cream or milk to spreading consistency. Spread over slightly warm rolls.
