Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1 medium onion, thinly sliced
  • 1 medium green bell pepper, seeded, deribbed and thinly sliced
  • 12 frozen meatballs, thawed and halved
  • 2 cups jar pasta sauce (your favorite)
  • 1 cup shredded part-skim Mozzarella cheese
  • 4 hoagie rolls, split

Preparation

Step 1

Heat the olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat; add onion and bell pepper and saute until tender-crisp. Meanwhile, in a medium saucepan over medium heat, combine meatballs and pasta sauce; heat through. Overlap 6 meatball halves on the bottom of each hoagie roll; drizzle with a little of the remaining pasta sauce then the cheese; add hot onion, bell pepper and hoagie roll top.
