Ingredients
- 1 cup margarine
- 1/2 teaspoon vanilla
- 2 cups sugar
- 3 eggs
- 1 cup flour
- 1 cup whole wheat flour
- 2 tablespoons wheat germ
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 cups chopped nuts
- 2 oz. (squares) unsweetened chocolate melted

Step 1
Preheat oven to 350. Cream margarine until light and fluffy. Beat in vanilla and sugar. Add eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition. Add fours, wheat germ and salt. Stir in nuts. Divide batter in half. Add cooled melted chocolate to one half. Drop batters alternately by teaspoon onto greased and floured 9 x 13 x 2 pan. Run knife through batter several times to marbleize. Bake about 35 minutes or until knife inserted in center comes out clean. Cool cut in squares.
