Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 3 eggs
  • 1 jar/can almond filling
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 ¼ cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 tsp baking powder
  • ½ tsp salt
  • ¼ cup milk
  • 2 Tbsp orange zest

Beat butter and sugar in large bowl until fluffy. Add eggs, one at a time, beating well in between. Beat in almond filling and vanilla extract until blended. In a separate bowl, mix together flour, baking powder, and salt. Add to almond mixture, a little at a time, also adding milk in slowing. Add orange zest and beat until batter is blended. Spread batter evenly in a greased and floured 10” tube pan or large Bundt pan. Bake 55 minutes or until center is springy and the sides begin to pull away from pan. Remove cake from pan and let cool on rack. Top with your favorite frosting or fruit glaze.

Baked in a 350˚ oven.

** Honey Glaze **

2 Tbsp sugar
¼ cup honey
1 Tbsp butter

Place all ingredients in a small pan. Bring to a boil.
