Ingredients
- 1 28-oz. can peeled, diced tomatoes, undrained
- 5 slices cooked bacon
- 1 tsp. ham flavoring or ham bouillon
- 1 C. shredded lettuce
- 2 Tbs. mayonnaise
- 1 14-oz. can of 99% fat-free chicken broth
- Garnish with croutons

Directions
While tomatoes are heating in saucepan, shred lettuce and add to the pot. Add chicken broth, reserving 1/4 cup. Add ham flavoring.
Put the 2 Tbs. mayonnaise in the empty tomato can. Add the reserved chicken broth. Whisk mayonnaise and chicken broth together until smooth. Crumble bacon into small pieces. Add to tomato mixture in the saucepan. Simmer everything until the lettuce is completely wilted.
Turn off heat and gradually blend in mayonnaise/chicken broth mixture. Sprinkle with toasted croutons. Serve with thick, crusty French Bread when heated through.
*Tastes best after flavors have blended for a few minutes.
