Teriyaki Sauce

Excellent with fish, chicken or beef. Rub a little sesame oil on the fish, poultry, or meat prior to grilling. Use this sauce for basting near the end of the cooking time, as the high sugar conten encourages burning.

- 1/2 cup soya sauce
- 1/4 cup white wine
- 1/4 cup rice vinegar
- 1/3 cup sugar
- 1 clove grlic, crushed
- 1 " piece ginger root, crushed
- 1 " piece lemon peel

Step 1
Combine the soya sauce, wine, vinegar, sugar, garlic, ginger, and lemon peel in a saucepan. Bring to a boil on the burner and simmer until the sauce is reduced by about half and is quite thick. Cool and remove the garlic, giner root, and lemon peel
