M & M CAKE MIX COOKIES

Ingredients

• 1 package yellow cake mix
• 1 stick butter, softened
• 3 tablespoons light brown sugar
• 2 large eggs
• 1 to 2 teaspoons vanilla
• 2 cups M & Ms (reserve 1/2 cup for tops of cookies)

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. In a large mixing bowl, blend together half of dry cake mix, butter, brown sugar, eggs, and vanilla with an electric mixer on medium high speed for 1 to 2 minutes until smooth and well blended. Stir in remaining cake mix and M & Ms with spoon just until combined and moistened. Drop dough by teaspoon 2" apart on greased cookie sheets. Press several M & Ms into each cookie. Bake 10 to 12 minutes or until edges are golden and centers are just barely set. Remove cookie sheet from oven and cool cookies on cookie sheet for 1 minute. Transfer cookies with metal spatula to wire racks to cool completely.
