- Cake:

- Icing:
- 1 C sugar
- 1/2 C butter
- 1/3 C milk
- 1/2 C chocolate chips

Preparation
Step 1
Cake:
Preheat oven to 350*. Grease a 13x9 inch baking pan. In a large bowl with electric mixer, beat butter and sugar until light. Beat in eggs, syrup, then flour. Pour into pan. Bake 25 minutes. Cool cake on rack. Frost with icing.
Icing:
In medium saucepan, bring sugar, butter and milk to a boil. Boil 1 minute. Remove from heat. Add chocolate chips and beat until smooth. Pour over cooled cake.
