French Toast Bake

Ingredients

• 8 eggs
• 2 C milk
• 2 C half and half
• 12 slices French bread
• 3/4 C butter
• 1 1/2 C brown sugar
• 2 T dark syrup
• pumpkin pie spice
• can fruit pie filling (blueberry, apple, etc)
• whipped cream

Preparation

Step 1

The night before, place French bread slices in 9 X 13 pan (buttered.) Mix milk, half and half and eggs and pour over bread. Refrigerate overnight.
In morning, melt butter and mix with brown sugar and syrup. Pour on top of bread. Sprinkle with pumpkin pie spice. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-45- minutes. Top with fruit pie filling and cool whip.
