1 chocolate cake mix, baked according to box
1 jar/bottle caramel ice cream topping, divided
1/4 cup amaretto
1 bag Heath chips, divided
1 large cool whip

Preparation

Step 1

Cool and crumble chocolate cake. Place in bottom of trifle dish and press down. Drizzle with caramel and amaretto. Sprinkle with half of Heath chips. Cover with cool whip. Sprinkle with remainder of Heath chips and more caramel. Refrigerate to allow to combine flavors.
