Best ever Sugar cookies

Ingredients

• 1/3 c butter
• 1/3 c shortening
• 3/4 c sugar 1 t baking soda
• dash salt
• 1 egg
• 1 t vanilla
• 2 c all purpose flour
• 1 recipe powdered sugar ..optional

Preparation

Step 1

In a lag mixing bowl.beat butter and shortening on med-high for 30 seconds. Add sugar baking powder and salt. Beat till combined, scraping bolw. Beat in egg and vanilla. Beat in as much of the flour as you can with the mixer.Stir in the remainin flour. Divide dough in half. If necessary, cover and chill the dough for 3 hours or until easy to handle.

cut out cookies. bake at 375 for 7 minutes
