Ingredients
- 2 packages of dry yeast
- 1 1/2 cups lukewarm milk
- l/2 cup warm water
- l/2 c. sugar
- 2 tsp. salt
- 2 eggs
- l/2 cup soft shortening
- 7 cups flour
- 1 cup melted butter

Step 1
Dissolve 2 packages active dry yeast in 1/2 cup warm water (110-115 degrees). Add 1 1/2 cup lukewarm milk (or water), l/2 cup sugar, 2 tsp. salt, 2 eggs, l/2 cup soft shortening and l/2 of the 7 cups of flour. Mix till smooth. Add enough remaining flour to handle easily. Knead 5 minutes. Round up in greased bowl, bring greased side up. Cover with cloth. Let rise in warm place (85 degrees), until
doubled (1 1/2 hours). Punch down. Let rise again for 30 minutes until double. Roll out, let rise 15-20 minutes. Dip in melted butter before folding over. Bake in 400 degree oven in lightly greased pan for 20 minutes.
