  • 1 lb butter, softened
  • 3 cups sugar
  • 6 large eggs
  • 4 cups all purpose flour
  • 3/4 cup milk
  • 1 tsp almond extract
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Step 1

1. Preheat oven to 300. Generously grease and lightly flour a 10 inch tube pan. Beat butter at medium speed with an electric mixer until light yellow in color and creamy. Gradually add sugar, beatinga t meidum speed until light and fluffy. Add eggs, 1 at a time, beating just until yellow disappears.

2. Add flour to butter mixture alternately with milk, beginning and ending with flour. Beat at low speed just until blended after each addition. (batter should be smooth) Stir in extracts. Pour batter into prepared pan.

3. bake at 300 for 1 hour and 40 minutes or until a long wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean. let cool in pan on a wire rack 10 to 15 minutes. Remove form pan to wire rack, and cool completely.
