- 8 oz. semisweet chocolate
- 1/2 cup margarine (pareve)
- 8 eggs, separated
- 1 cup sugar
- 1 tsp. vanilla

Preparation
Step 1
1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees Fahrenheit.
2. Beat egg whites until soft peaks form. Gradually add 1/4 cup sugar and beat until stiff.
3. Melt chocolate and margarine over very low heat (a double broiler can be used). Add vanilla. Stir until smooth.
4. In another bowl, beat egg yolks with 3/4 cup sugar. Gradually stir in chocolate and vanilla.
5. Gently fold egg whites into chocolate mixture.
6. Remove 1/4 of batter. Cover and refrigerate.
7. Pour remaining batter into a baking pan. Bake for 30-35 minutes.
8. Cool completely. Spread refrigerated batter on top of cake.
9. Refrigerate overnight or freeze.
