Ingredients
- 1 roasting chicken....5 - 51/2 pounds
- 10 strips bacon
- Whole cloves
- 1/4 cup brown sugar
- 1 teaspoon salt
- dash pepper
- 1 tablespoon corn starch
- 2 tablespoons fat
- 1/2 cup hot water

Preparation
Step 1
Cut chicken into serving pieces. Wrap a slice around each piece of chicken and fasten with toothpick. Stick 3 cloves in each piece of chicken. Mix brown sugar, salt, pepper and corn starch. Sprinkle over the top of chicken pieces. Add fat and hot water. Cover tightly. Bake at 400* for about an hour. Remove cloves.
