Brown Beans & Ham

Ingredients
- 1/2 bag Anasagi beans (mom buys at Honeybaked Ham in J'boro)
- 1 white onion, quartered
- 1 jalapeno, cut in half lengthwise & seeded
- 2 Tbsp minced garlic
- Lots of cracked black pepper
- 1 ham bone with ham on it

Preparation
Step 1
Soak beans in 3x as much water at least 4 hours or overnight. Add onion, jalapeno, garlic, and pepper. Cut ham off bone into bite size chunks. Add ham and bone to beans. Cook in crock pot on medium heat about 8 hours, until beans are cooked but firm (not mushy).
Serve with cornbread and/or fried potatoes.
