Ingredients

  • 1/2 C. butter or margarine
  • 1 C. sugar
  • 4 eggs
  • 1 16-oz. can chocolate-flavored syrup (1 1/2 C.)
  • 1 1/4 C. all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 C. almond toffee pieces
  • 1 C. miniature semisweet chocolate
  • pieces
  • 1 C. coarsely chopped pecans, toasted

Preparation

Step 1

1. Grease a 13x9x2-inch baking pan. Preheat the oven to 350° F.

2. In a large mixing bowl, beat the butter for 30 seconds. Add the sugar and beat till fluffy. Add eggs and beat well. Stir in the chocolate syrup. Stir in the flour. (Batter will look curdled.)

3. Pour the batter into the prepared pan. Bake about 30 minutes or till a toothpick inserted in the center of brownies comes out clean.

4. Meanwhile, in a medium bowl combine toffee pieces, chocolate piece and pecans. After removing pan from the oven, immediately sprinkle mixture
evenly over top. Cool in pan on a wire rack.
