Ingredients

  • Bars:
  • 1/2 C. margarine
  • 1 C. sugar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/2 C. nuts
  • 1 square unsweetened chocolate, melted
  • 1 C. flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • Filling:
  • 6 oz. cream cheese
  • 1/2 C. sugar
  • 1/4 C. margarine
  • 1/2 tsp. vanilla
  • 2 T. flour
  • 1 egg
  • 1/4 C. nuts
  • 1 C. chocolate chips
  • 2 cup miniature marshmallows
  • Frosting:
  • 1/4 C. butter
  • 1 square unsweetened chocolate
  • 2 C. confectioners sugar
  • 2 oz. cream cheese
  • 1/4 C. milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

1. Preheat oven to 350°F.

For bars:
2. Melt butter and chocolate. Add remaining bar ingredients. Mix well. Spread in pan.

For filling:
3. Mix 6 oz. softened cream cheese with next 5 ingredients. Blend until smooth and fluffy. Add nuts and spread over chocolate mixture. Sprinkle with chocolate chips.

4. Bake for 25-35 minutes. Remove from oven, sprinkle with 2 C. miniature marshmallows and bake 2 minutes more.

For frosting:
5. Melt chocolate, butter, and cream cheese. Stir in sugar, milk and vanilla until smooth. Pour over bars with warmed marshmallows. Refrigerate.
