    qt. warm water

    pkg. active dry yeast

  • C vegetable oil

  • C sugar

  • 3

    T salt

    C flour


In 4 quart mixing bowl dissolve yeast in 1 C warm water with 1 t sugar. (It will foam.) Stir in oil, sugar and salt. Gradually adde enough flour to form a stiff dough. Turn dough onto heavily floured board and knead until smooth and elastic. Place in oiled bowl and lightly pat oil on top. Cover and let rise in warm place until nearly doubled. Punch dough down and divide into 3 parts. Pleace in well-greased bread pans. Lightly oil tops of loaves, cover and let rise in a warm place until double in size. Bake at 375 for 40 minutes or until brown and bread pulls away from sides of pan. Cool our of pan on rack.
