Ingredients
- 3 cups of almond milk
- 1 tsp of vanilla, or 1/4 tsp of vanilla powder
- (you can purchase vanilla powder from Raw Food World which is on the Israel Gone Raw website)
- 1/2 tsp almond extract
- 3-5 dates, soaked and pitted

Step 1
To make almond milk, place 1/2 cup soaked almonds (soak the night before for 8-12 hours)into a blender with 2 cups pure water (not the soak water) Blend and strain milk through a nut milk bag to separate the milk from the pulp. Place pulp in freezer to use for other recipes. It will last for 3-4 months.
Place milk back in the blender with vanilla and almond extract, dates and blend again. Then place in a container into the freezer or use an ice cream maker.
Variations: You can add 2-3 bananas to thicken the mixture
You can add 1/3 cup coconut nectar which is a low glycemic sweetener
You can also add raw cacao powder for a chocolate flavor.
