Barley Almond Casserole

Ingredients
- 1/2 cup butter
- 2 medium onions, chopped
- 3/4 lb mushrooms, chopped (or 1 can mushrooms, chopped)
- 1 1/4 cup pearl barley
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp pepper
- 2 cups canned chicken broth
- 4 oz slivered almonds

Preparation
Step 1
Melt butter. Saute onions and mushrooms. Add barley and cook until barely is a delicate brown. Add salt and pepper. Put in 2 quart casserole. Add chicken broth. Sprinkle almonds on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 1/2 hours.
