Spritz Cookies

• 1 cup softened butter
• 1 1/4 cup sugar
• 1 tsp vanilla
• 2 eggs.
• 3 1/2 cups all purpose flour
• Pinch of salt

Preparation

Step 1

Combine 1 cup softened butter and 1 1/4 cup sugar and beat until creamy, beat in 1 tsp vanilla extract and 2 eggs. Sift in 3 1/2 cups all purpose flour and a pinch of salt. Mix to from a fairly stiff dough. Shape dough into rolls and place one at a time into a cookie press. Press out desired shapes onto buttered baking sheets. Bake in a 375° F oven for 12-15 minutes. Until very lightly browned; cool on wire rack. Makes about 120 cookies.
