Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup refrigerator-cold unsalted butter or margarine
  • 2 tbsp. lemon juice
  • 1/2 tsp. minced fresh marjoram or 1/4 tsp. crumbled dried
  • 1/2 tsp. minced fresh thyme or rosemary or 1/4 tsp. crumbled dried
  • Dash freshly ground pepper

Step 1

Place butter in microwave safe 1 pint measure. Cover with wax paper and melt by microwaving on High (100 percent power) 1 1/4-1 1/2 minutes. Stir in lemon juice, marjoram, thyme and pepper to taste. Cover with wax paper and microwave on Low (10 percent power) 2 to 3 minutes. Use as spread for corn on the cob. Makes 1/2 cup.
