Ingredients

  • 2 C flour
  • 1 t salt
  • 1/8 t baking powder
  • Pulse in food processor
  • Add
  • 1 3/4 sticks of butter diced
  • Pulse
  • Add
  • 5 oz shredded cheddar
  • 1/4 t chipotle pepper
  • Pulse
  • Add
  • 1 T jalapeño pepper - chopped
  • 3 T ice water (keeps butter cold)
  • Pulse
  • Form dough into ball and roll into log. Don't handle too much!
  • Place on cookie sheet in fridge for 1/2 to chill
  • Cut into 1/2 inch slices. Egg wash (1 egg + 1 T water) and Sprinkle salt on top. Bake 400 for 12-15 mins
