Ingredients
- 3 cups squash or zucchini, cooked (reserve cooking liquid)
- 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/4 tsp onion salt
- 1/8 tsp pepper
- 1 tsp sugar
- 1/4 tsp nutmeg
- 1 tbsp butter, melted
- 2 tbsp flour
- 2 tsp baking powder
- 1 egg, beaten
- 1/4 cup dry bread crumbs

Step 1
In medium bowl mash squash or zucchini. Add salt, onion salt, pepper, sugar, nutmeg and butter; mix well. In a 1-cup measure combine flour and baking powder. Add a small amount of squash or zucchini cooking liquid; stir to blend, then add enough liquid to make ¾ cup. Add egg. Blend liquid ingredients into squash mixture. Turn into greased 1 ½-quart casserole; sprinkle with crumbs. Bake, uncovered at 325 F oven for 35 minutes.
