Great-Aunt Irene Ginter Tipton's recipe. One summer while I was visiting in Kentucky, she made this pie and I thought I had died and gone to heaven! DELICIOUS!

Ingredients

  • 2/3 stick melted butter
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 whole eggs, beaten
  • 1 TBS. vinegar
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1/2 cup nuts
  • 1/2 cup raisins
  • 1/2 cup coconut
  • pie crust

Preparation

Step 1

In large saucepan, over medium heat, stir ingredients together until warm enough to melt the sugar. Pit in the nuts, raisins and coconut. Pour into pie crust.

Bake at 325F (NO HOTTER OR IT SCORCHES!) for
1 hour or until the filling doesn't shake when you wiggle the pan.
