Ingredients
- MEATBALLS:
- 1 lb. ground beef
- 2 T. plain dry breadcrumbs
- 1 egg
- 1 T. Parmesan cheese
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 tsp. pepper
- SAUCE:
- 1/2 C. chopped onions
- 1 T. vegetable oil
- 1 15oz. can tomato sauce
- 1 14 1/2 oz. can whole tomatoes, undrained and crushed
- 1 6 oz. can tomato paste
- 1 1/2 tsp. basil
- 1 1/2 tsp. sugar
- 1/2 tsp. garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp. oregano
- 2 T. grated Parmesan cheese
- Hot cooked spaghetti

Preparation
Step 1
1. Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
2. In bowl, combine meatball ingredients. Shape into 20 1 1/2 inch balls; place on baking sheet. Bake for 25 minutes; drain.
3. Meanwhile, in large saucepan, saute onions in oil until tender. Stir in remaining ingredients except cheese and spaghetti. Simmer while meatballs bake.
4. Cook spaghetti according to package directions.
5. Meanwhile, add drained meatballs to pan; simmer, covered, an additional 20 minutes. Stir in cheese and serve over spaghetti.
