My husband, Jerry, loves these. I make mine with pecans but you can use any nut, even walnuts, and you can add raisins if you like.

Ingredients

  • 2 puff pastry sheets
  • 1 1/2 sticks of butter, softened
  • 1/3 cup brown sugar
  • 2 handfuls of whole pecans, chopped large
  • 1/2 stick of melted butter
  • 3 tablespoons cinnamon
  • 2/3 cup brown sugar

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven 400*
12 count greased muffin pans
parchment or foiled lined cookie sheet

In a mixer, beat the 1 1/2 cups butter and brown sugar together. With teaspoon, drop level spoons full of sugar mixture into muffin pans until the mixture is all gone. Sprinkle pecans into muffin pans until distributed equally.

Lay out pastry dough with the folds from left to right. (pastry should be long from top to bottom) Mix sugar, melted butter and cinnamon and nuts together and spread out over pastry. Roll pastry dough from the bottom to the top ending with seam side down. Cut off ends by 1/2 inch. Divide in 6 pieces. Lay rolls onto muffin pan.

Repeat with next sheet of pastry. Bake 400* for 30 minutes. Immediately turn out from oven on to a platter and then cool.
