Creamed New Potatoes and Green peas

Ingredients
- 1/4 cup butter or margarine
- 1 small onion, minced
- 4 cups peeled new potatoes in 1/2 inch dice
- 1 cup each milk and light cream, heated (2 cups)
- 1 (10oz) package frozen peas
- Salt and white pepper
- Thyme pr do;;weed to taste
- Chopped parsley or fresh dill

Step 1
Melt butter in heavy 3-qt. saucepan.
Add onion and potatoes and saute over low heat, stirring occasionally, 5 minutes,
(do not brown). Add milk-cream mixture, bring to boil, cover and simmer,stirring occasionally, 10-12 minutes, or until potatoes are almost tender.
Add peas and simmer until all is done.
Season to taste with salt, pepper and thyme.
