Ingredients
- 1 pound hamburger
- 1/2 pound pork sausage
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 2 medium onions
- 3 heaping tablespoons chili powder
- 2 tablespoons Heinz ketchup
- 2 tablespoons brown sugar
- 1 15.5 ounce tomato sauce
- 3 15.5 ounce Brooks Chili Hot Beans
- 1/8 teaspoon Moser flakes (red pepper flakes)

Preparation
Step 1
In a 4 quart pot, brown meat, skim fat. Add salt, coarse chopped onion and cook 1 to 3 minutes. Add chili powder, tomato sauce, ketchup, brown sugar and moser flakes with about ½ cup of water. Simmer for 3 to 4 hours covered.
Add beans, simmer for 1 hour. After adding beans, stir every 15 to 20 minutes.
Makes about 3 quarts.
