Ingredients
- 1 About 1 cup Pizza Sauce
- 2 balls (1/2 recipe) Pizza Dough
- 4 ounces mozzarella, thinly sliced (if possible, use fresh mozzarella, patted dry)
- Extra-virgin olive oil
- 3 or 4 large fresh basil leaves , torn into pieces

Step 1
Spread a thin layer of Pizza Sauce (1/2 cup) on each Pizza Dough, leaving a 1-inch border. Tear the mozzarella into small pieces and scatter them on top. Drizzle with a little oil. Immediately slide the pizza onto the baking stone. Bake (one at a time) 6 to 7 minutes or until the edges are puffed and the crust is crisp and golden brown. Scatter the basil over the top. Remove the pizza to a cutting board. Cut into wedges to serve. Makes two 9-10-inch pizzas .
