Ingredients

  • 3-1/2 cups Rolled Oats
  • 1 cup sliced, slivered or chopped almonds
  • 1 cup raw cashews, coarsely chopped
  • 1/3 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1/3 cup real maple syrup
  • 1/4 cup vegetable oil
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1/4 to 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 3/4 to 1 cup raisins

Preparation

Step 1

Preheat oven to 250 degrees. In a large bowl, combine the oats, nuts, brown sugar and cinnamon. In a separate bowl, whisk together the maple syrup, oil, vanilla and salt. Stir this wet mixture into the oats and nuts, until everything is well coated. Spread this mixture into two large ungreased glass baking dishes. Bake the granola for 1 hour, giving it a stir every 15 minutes. When done, transfer the granola to a large bowl and stir in the raisins. Once cool, store in airtight container.
