Ingredients
- 2 ½ cups of flour
- 1 ½ teaspoon of soda
- 1 teaspoon of cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon of ginger
- ½ teaspoon of salt
- 2/3 cup of butter
- ½ cup of sugar
- 1 egg
- ½ cup of molasses
- ½ cup of buttermilk
- 1 cup of raisins (Optional)

Preparation
Step 1
1. Sift flour, soda, spices and salt together.
2. Combine butter, sugar, egg and molasses.
3. Cream for 2 minutes and add milk and then flour gradually while beating.
4. Drop by teaspoonfuls unto greased baking sheets.
5. Bake at 375 for 12 minutes
