Ingredients

  • 5

    medium garlic cloves

  • 2

    cups fresh basil

  • 1/4

    cup pine nuts

  • 1/2

    cup parmesan cheese

  • 3/4

    cup olive oil

  • salt & pepper to taste

Directions

Drop garlic, Parmesan cheese & basil into food processor. On/Off until coarsely chopped. Add Pine nuts. On/Off until chopped and mixed. Slowly add olive oil making sure sauce does not become puree. Pulse only until blended. Leave in processor When pasta is cooked take 1/4 cup pasta water and add to pesto. Pulse to blend (or add boiling water) Store leftover pesto in covered jar topping off with olive oil to seal.
