Ingredients

  • 1/2 C. granulated sugar
  • 1/2 C. whipping cream
  • 1/4 C. all-purpose flour
  • Pinch salt
  • 1 tsp. peppermint extract (optional)
  • 2 oz. bittersweet chocolate, melted

Preparation

Step 1

1. Preheat oven to 350°F.

2. In a small deep bowl, mix together sugar, cream, flour, salt and peppermint extract, if using.

3. Using a 1/2 T. measure, pour level spoonfuls onto a parchment-lined baking sheet. The batter should spread into thin circles.

4. Bake about 20 minutes until florentines are golden and crisp. Remove from pan end them to cool completely on parchment paper.

5. Drizzle melted chocolate Over the cookies.
