Ingredients
- Pastry:
- 3 oz. cream cheese softened
- 1/2 C. butter softened
- 1 C. sifted all-purpose flour
- Filling:
- 1 ett
- 3/4 C. brown sugar
- 1 Tbsp softened butter
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- dash salt
- 1/3 C. coarsely chopped pecans

Step 1
Crust
Blend together softened cream cheese and butter; stir in flour. Chill 1 hr. Shape in 2 dz. 1-in. balls; place in ungreased mini-muffin pans; press dough against bottom and sides.
Filling:
Beat together egg, brown sugar, softened butter, vanilla, and dash salt just til smooth. Divide pecans among “tarts”; add egg mixture. Top with pecans.
Bake at 325 degrees for 25 minutes or til filling is set. Cool; remove from pans. Makes 2 dz.
