YOGURT - FRUIT SAMPLER WITH YOGURT SAUCE 0 Picture

Ingredients

  • 4 large navel oranges
  • 1 16 oz. container plain or vanilla flavored yogurt
  • 3 T. honey
  • 1 large Red Delicious apple
  • 1 ripe Bartlett pear
  • 2 kiwi fruits
  • 1/4 lb. seedless red grapes, in small clusters
  • Lemon or citrus leaves

Preparation

Step 1

1. Finely grate rind of an orange to get 1 tsp. grated rind. Set aside. Cut the orange in half horizontally; squeeze to extract juice and discard the juiced halves. Cut the remaining oranges in half horizontally. With grapefruit knife or fingers, carefully remove the orange sections. Reserve the shells.

2. In a small bowl, combine the yogurt, honey, and orange rind. Cover and refrigerate until ready to serve.

3. Core and cut the apple and pear into slices, and dip into the orange juice to prevent discoloration. Peel and slice the kiwi fruits.

4. Fill the reserved orange shells with yogurt sauce, and place on 6 individual plates or 1 large platter. Arrange the fruit attractively around the orange shells. Garnish with lemon leaves and serve.
