Ingredients

  • 1 cup butter at room temperature3/4 cup of brown sugar
  • 1 cup of flour
  • ¼ cup of water
  • ¼ teaspoon of vanilla
  • 1 cup of regular rolled oats

Preparation

Step 1

1. Cream butter and sugar and alternately stir in the flour and water.
2. Stir in the vanilla and rolled oats.
3. Drop by teaspoonfuls on lightly greased baking sheets.
4. Press to 1 1/4 inch thickness with a floured fork.
5. Bake 10-12 minutes at 350.
6. Makes 3 dozens.
