Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup butter, softened
  • 1/2 cup peanut butter
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 cup packed brown sugar
  • 1 tsp. baking soda
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 2 eggs
  • 1/4 cup milk
  • 1 tsp. vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 1/2 cups rolled oats
  • 2 1/2 cups peanut-butter flavored pieces and/or chopped walnuts, semisweet chocolate pieces, raisins, shredded coconut

Step 1

Preheat oven to 375 degrees F. In a large mixing bowl, beat butter and peanut butter with an electric mixer until combined. Add granulated sugar, brown sugar, baking soda and salt. Beat until well combined, scraping sides of bowl occasionally. Beat in eggs, milk and vanilla until combined. Beat in as much of the flour as you can with the mixer. Stir in any remaining flour. Stir in rolled oats and peanut-butter flavored peices and/or desired additions. Drop dough by rounded teaspoons onto ungreased baking sheets. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes or until edges are golden. Transfer cookies to wire rack and let cool.
