Preparation
Step 1
Butter an 8x8" baking dish and lay a sheet of parchment paper on the buttered surface. Fill a small pot with about an inch of water and bring to a oil. Reduce heat so the water is barely simmering. Place chocolate, milk, and butter in a heatproof bowl or top of a pot and place over simmering water. Stir mixture frequently until completely melted. Pour the melted chocolate mixture into the baking dish. Use a spatula to scrape the bowl clean. Level the fudge with a spatula and place in the refrigerator until the fudge sets, about an hour. Cut into squares or any other shape you prefer using cutters.
To use heat up a mug of milk. Dunk the fudge into milk until completely dissolved. Add marshmallow to the top and enjoy!
I put a wooden spoon that I had stamped the handle of into the fudge and served these with a homemade marshmallow! You can wrap them in a cookie bag and tie with ribbon and a tag with directions to give as a gift.
