Ingredients
- 1/2 cup extra-virgin olive oil
- 1/4 cup chopped mixed fresh herbs (basil, parsley, thyme, rosemary, oregano, tarragon)
- Salt
- Freshly ground black pepper
- 3 pounds Cardile Brothers Large Portabelia Mushroom Caps 6-8 whole wheat buns or a loaf of crusty bread, sliced
- 1/2 pound sliced smoked mozzarella cheese
- 12-16 green lettuce leaves
- 2 large ripe tomatoes, sliced

Preparation
Step 1
Preheat grill.
Combine olive oil and herbs in a large bowl. Stir in a dash of salt and pepper to taste.
Add mushroom caps to the mixture and stir to coat.
Grill mushrooms over medium to medium-high heat, flipping halfway through cooking time, for 4-8 minutes, or until a fork comes out easily.
Place grilled mushrooms on buns or bread slices.
Top with smoked mozzarella, lettuce and tomatoes.
Makes 6-8 servings.
