Chewy Chocolately Brownies

Ingredients

• 1/2 cup butter or margarine
• 3 squares unsweetened chocolate squares
• 1 1/4 cup sugar
• 1 tsp vanilla
• 3 eggs
• 2/3 cup flour
• 1/2 tsp salt
• 1/2 tsp baking powder
• 1/2 cup chopped nuts

Preparation

Step 1

Melt butter and chocolate on low heat in saucepan, stirring until smooth. Remove from heat; add sugar, vanilla and eggs. Beat well.

Combine flour, baking powder and salt. Add to chocolate mixture, stirring well until well blended. Spread in greased 9" square pan.

Bake at 350F for 25 - 30 minutes. Cool. Frost if desired.
