Italian Cookies

Ingredients

• 6 eggs
• 1 cup sugar
• 1 cup margarine, melted
• 1 teaspoon vanilla
• 4-1/2 cups flour
• 4 teaspoons baking powder

Preparation

Step 1

1. Beat eggs and sugar for 12 minutes
2. Add melted margarine, vanilla, flour and baking powder
3. Mix until combined (if dough is sticky add more flour)
4. Roll dough into 1" balls and place on cookie sheet
5. Bake at 400 degrees for 10 minutes
6. Allow cookies to cool slightly
7. When cookies are slightly warm, frost with mixture of confectioners sugar, anise and water (icing should be moderately thick)
