Ingredients
- 2 cups all-purpose flour
- 1 t salt
- 2/3 cup shortening
- 4-6 T ice water

Preparation
Step 1
Stir flour and salt together. Cut in shortening to the size of small peas. Add ice water 1T at a time until all the flour is moistened. Divide dough and firmly press into 2 balls. Roll each ball out on a floured surface (A Roulpat works great. So does a pastry sleeve on your rolling pin.)Ease bottom crust into pie plate. Add filling. Top with second crust. Fold edges under bottom crust.Flute to seal. Cut vent in top crust and cover edges with aluminum foil or pie crust cover.
PIE SHELL-Use 1/2 recipe for pastry. Trim. Flute edge. Prick bottom and sides with a fork. Bake at 450 degrees for 10-12 min.
