Ingredients
- Meat mixture:
- 1 whole Savoy cabbage, Blanched, stems removed
- 1 1/2 cups chopped onions
- 2 28oz can crushed tomatoes
- 1/4 cup red wine vinegar
- 1 cup raisins
- 1 cup brown sugar
- 1 1/2 tsp salt
- 1/2 tsp pepper
- 2 1/2 lb ground chuck
- 3 eggs beaten
- 1/2 cup diced onions
- 1/2 cup bread crumbs
- 1/2 cup cooked white rice
- 1 teaspoon thyme leaves, minced

Preparation
Step 1
Sauce:
Saute onions until transparent. Add tomatoes, vinegar, raisins, brown sugar and salt and pepper. Simmer for about 30 minutes.
Meat mixture:
Combine all the ingredients together and add 1 cup tomato sauce to meat mixture.
Preheat oven 350*
Place sauce in bottom of pan - about 1 cup. Roll up cabbage with meat mixture. Pour rest of sauce on rolls. Cook in oven for 350* for 1 hour.
