Ingredients

  • Topping:
  • 6 cups of apple slices (raw, about 6-8 apples)(peeled)
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 2 Tbsp. flour
  • 1/2 tsp. cinnamon
  • 2 Tbsp. butter or margarine
  • 1 cup sugar
  • 1 cup flour
  • 1 tsp. baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp. salt
  • 1 tsp. cinnamon
  • 1 large egg

Preparation

Step 1

Mix the apple slices with sugar, flour, and cinnamon. Put into an 8 x 8 inch buttered baking dish. Dot with butter or margarine.

Make topping: Mix dry ingredients in a bowl. Make a well, add the slightly beaten egg, and mix well to make a crumbly mixture. Spread over the apples. Bake one hour at 325 degrees F. This is delicious served with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or just with milk poured over it.
