  • 1/2 cup popcorn kernels
  • 1/3 cup sugar
  • 1 teaspoon salt

Step 1

Heat oil in large pot over medium-high heat. Add the popcorn and sugar, giving it a quick stir, then cover immediately with the lid. Once the popcorn begins popping, shake your pot every few seconds for 3 to 4 minutes, until the popping slows down. Remove from heat immediately (before sugar caramelizes and sticks) and pour into a large bowl. Sprinkle with salt and serve immediately.
