Traditional Christmas Fudge

Ingredients

  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2/3 cup undiluted evaporated milk
  • 1 1/2 cups sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 2 cups miniature (4-ounces) marshmallows
  • 1 1/2 cups (9-ounces) semi-sweet chocolate morsels
  • 1/2 cup walnuts or pecans
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla

Preparation

Step 1

Combine butter, evaporated milk, sugar and salt in medium saucepan. Bring to boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Boil for 4 to 5 minutes. Remove from heat.

Stir in marshmallows, morsels, nuts and vanilla. Stir vigorously for a minute or until marshmallows are melted.

Pour into foil lined 8 inch square baking pan. Sprinkle with additional nuts if desired. Chill until firm.
