Ingredients

  • Cajun Blackening Rub:
  • 1 rack of ribs
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon mustard powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon ground white pepper
  • 3/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon thyme
  • 1/2 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 tablespoon paprika
  • 1 tablespoon kosher salt
  • Steakhouse Glaze:
  • 1/2 cup A1 steak sauce
  • 1 tablespoon brown mustard
  • 1 tablespoon garlic flavored oil
  • 2 tablespoons ketchup

Preparation

Step 1

1. Preheat grill.

2. Combine all ingredients for cajun blackening rub in a bowl and mix well. Rub the ribs with the mixture.

3. Coat the ribs with cooking oil and brush the grill grate with oil.

4. Place ribs on the grill away from direct heat and cook until you can pierce the meat of one of the thickest ribs easily with a fork, about 30 minutes turning them every 10 minutes.

5. Combine all of the ingredients for the steak house glaze in a bowl. During the last 10 minutes of cooking the ribs, baste the ribs with the glaze and turn them every 2 minutes until done.
